February 2005, the weather is still a big a factor. late January was snowy and bitterly cold. Work was halted for a full week. However work did get done in mid January.
This picture (taken 02/02/05) shows the the basement walls concrete forms nearing completion. . When the weather allows, concrete will be poured. As of 2/03/05 the outlook was for a warm spell (for February that is...).
As of February 2005, the excavation of the basement is complete as well as the concrete foundation footings. Work is well underway on the forms and then the concrete walls for the basement. Framing and steel work are now planned to begin in late February or early March 2005.
Providing funds are available, the building may be ready for use in late 2005, although with many deferred elements. Although these decisions will be made as the project progresses, some items currently planned for deferral are the onion domes, new commercial kitchen appliances, finishes for floors and trimwork, air conditioning, optional bathrooms, etc. These and many other elements will be added over years as funding is available.
