November 1 2005: Siding and trimwork are well underway. September was not a good month but we plan for a big November!!
This picture (taken 11/1/05) shows the furring strips attached to the building that will serve as nailing points for the cedar siding. Soffits and other trim are being installed. Installation was delayed by weather and other factors but it is hoped the warm November will continue.
As of November 1, 2005, Slate installation on the porch floor is still not finished but the siding is well underway. Electric and HVAC are both starting this week. It will be a very busy month.
Providing funds are available, the building may be ready for use in late 2005, although with many deferred elements. Although these decisions will be made as the project progresses, some items currently planned for deferral are the onion domes, new commercial kitchen appliances, finishes for floors and trimwork, air conditioning, optional bathrooms, etc. These and many other elements will be added over years as funding is available.
