February 2006: Mechanical and electrical work are in process
This picture (taken02/15/06) shows that the electrical work is continuing during the deep winter months. Here a delivery of parts is being made. Heating and plumbing are also in process. Though this work isn't as glamorous as the siding and framing it is necessary and expensive.
As of February 2006, Major mechanical and electrical work is well underway. Most siding is done.
The expected use is now late summer 2006 or later depending on funding. These plans still include many deferred elements. Although these decisions will be made as the project progresses, some items currently planned for deferral are the onion domes, new commercial kitchen appliances, finishes for floors and trimwork, air conditioning, optional bathrooms, etc. These and many other elements will be added over years as funding is available.
