The eighth annual Trinity 5k Roadrace was held on Saturday, August 29th, 2004. This was a record setting year for both entrants and money raised for the children affected by the Chornobyl Nuclear Disaster. Many compliments were received on the event. The volunteers and members of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Danbury not only executed their jobs to near perfection, but a GREAT time was had by all.
Despite the warmest conditions ever for this event, runners performed well. The ample supply of water both on and off the course helped a lot here. Unique Russian nesting dolls are awarded to 5k overall and age group winners. Shirts and medals were awarded to all kids participating in 1k fun run and the Health Walk.
In the week following this most successful event, the race committee began to plans for an even better and bigger 2005 event, the T5k's ninth annual run. Those interested in supporting or helping next year's T5K, should contact the race committee through information on the 'contact us' page at this web site.
